class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open NESS and create a new session by clicking on \u201c<strong><em>New session<\/em><\/strong>\u201d on the upper right corner<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Save your session file in the \u201csession\u201d folder of NESS<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a first snapshot is automatically created, rename it<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1850\" height=\"970\" src=\"https:\/\/ness-apg.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/ness_new_session.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1063 size-full\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Configure your venue<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1474\" height=\"567\" src=\"http:\/\/ness-apg.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/ness_background_image-1.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1065 size-full\"\/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go the <em><strong>Design <\/strong><\/em>tab<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Choose your configuration:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em><strong>Frontal <\/strong><\/em>for a theater or a live concert where your loudspeakers are in line in front of your audience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em><strong>Surround <\/strong><\/em>for a 360\u00b0 setup where your loudspeakers are place all around the audience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em><strong>180<\/strong><\/em><strong>\u00b0 <\/strong>for a setup where your loudspeakers are placed on a semi circle<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Choose your background image\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>get an image showing a scaled top view of your venue with the loudspeaker positions<br><em>tip : take a photo of the emergency exit map or draw it roughly with a drawing software<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>if needed, you can convert your image to white on black for a better integration in NESS : https:\/\/apgness.pythonanywhere.com\/<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>load the image in the software by clicking on \u201c<em><strong>load background image<\/strong><\/em>\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Place and resize your background image\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>resize the image by setting the <em><strong>zoom <\/strong><\/em>parameter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>click in the graphical area while keeping <em>ctrl + shift<\/em> pressed (<em>cmd + shift<\/em> on a mac) to move your image<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>move your image so the loudspeakers positions on your image are placed within the dedicated area<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Set the transparency of your image\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>you can adjust the transparency of the background image to make it more discrete<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:auto 61%\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>Set the scale of your image<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>first click on \u201c<em><strong>Define Scale<\/strong><\/em>\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Locate 2 points on the plane where you know the distance between them<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the first point and while holding down the mouse button, move the cursor to the second point to draw a segment between the two points.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Release the button<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>enter the distance in meters in the dialog window. the graphical zone dimension should have been updated<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1469\" height=\"574\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Place the loudspeakers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>NESS uses 4 groups of 8 loudspeakers to allow different processing for different kind of loudspeakers. for instance you an use a first group for a speaker ring and a second one for the subwoofers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can link several groups if you uses more than 8 speakers of the same kind. all linked groups will share the same processing configuration<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1294\" height=\"864\" src=\"http:\/\/ness-apg.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/ness_spk_group_color_name.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1072 size-full\"\/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click on Speaker Group 1 to display the loudspeaker group commands<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clear the group<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>set the color of the group according to your preference<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>set the name of the group<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To create loudspeakers in the group<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>create a loudspeaker by cliking on \u201c<em><strong>Create one speaker<\/strong><\/em>\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>click on the created speaker and while holding down the mouse button, move it to its position<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>repeat the two previous steps for all other speakers of the group<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><figure more than 8 speakers of the same model:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>enable the link for several groups to ensure they share they will work as one bigger group<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>select one other group<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>name it<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>choose its color, it will automatically change the color of all linked groups.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>clear the group, create and place the speakers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>repeat the previous steps for the other linked groups<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>in this exemple, we need 20 speakers, we will link the first 3 groups to have all 20 speakers working together<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the speakers are not showed, you can click on \u201c<em><strong>show speakers<\/strong><\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>You can use one free group for subwoofers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>select the group<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>choose its color<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>rename it<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>clear the speakers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>for each speaker, click on <em><strong>create one speaker<\/strong><\/em> and place it on the background image<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Save the snapshot by clicking on \u201c<em><strong>Save snapshot<\/strong><\/em>\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1294\" height=\"864\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Route the signals to your soundcard outputs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have created all your loudspeakers, you must associate it to a given output of your soundcard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1294\" height=\"864\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open the output matrix. on a mac it is located in a tab at the top of the application<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clear all existing routings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For each speaker (in colums), click on the output of your soundcard (in line) to which it is connected<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Don&#8217;t forget to save the snapshot
