The source track is highlighted<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Name<\/em><\/strong>: the name of the virtual source can be defined. The name will be displayed on the graphical area, in the Reverb panel and in the global display panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Input<\/em><\/strong>: select the audio input of the sound card for the virtual source<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Mute<\/em><\/strong>: cut the signal of the sound source. This also cuts the processing of the source, consider muting all unused source to lower the CPU load.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Solo<\/em><\/strong>: cut the signal of all sources for which the solo button is not enabled. The source can be placed with the mouse. If the source is controlled by an external software (OSC automation\u2026), this option must be checked<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em><strong>Trajectory<\/strong><\/em><\/strong> : Edit a trajectory for the source<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em><strong>Width<\/strong><\/em><\/strong> : Control for the perceived width of the source<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em><strong>Constant gain<\/strong><\/em><\/strong> : Allows to spatialize the sound source with a constant intensity, whatever the distance to the speakers. The parameters can only be pasted for another source<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Paste : <\/strong><\/em>Loads the parameters of the clipboard in the current source editor<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2.1 &#8211; Trajectory management<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>To create a trajectory, just click in the graphical area to create a point.<br>Shift + click = delete the point<br>The points can be moved with the mouse<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"inherit-container-width wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Clear<\/strong><em> <\/em>: Resets the trajectory<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Play<\/strong> <\/em>: Triggers the movement<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em><strong>Loop<\/strong><\/em><\/strong> : Plays the movement repeatedly<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em><strong>Pause<\/strong><\/em><\/strong> : Stops the movement. Click again to play again the movement from the last position<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Stop <\/em><\/strong>: Stops the movement and places the source at the beginning of the trajectory<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Movement direction<\/strong><\/strong> : Chooses the movement direction or a round trip movement<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong><strong>Duration<\/strong> : <\/strong><\/em>Total duration of the movement<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong><strong>Position<\/strong> : <\/strong><\/em>Sets the position of the source on the trajectory<br><em>Example: a value of 2.5 will place the source at the middle of the segment between points 2 and 3 of the trajectory<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong><strong><strong>Locking the source position<\/strong><\/strong> : <\/strong><\/em>If you enable the caps lock key in free move mode, it will lock the edition of the source position from the graphical editor. The same amount of time is taken by the source to go from one point to the next one. Close points will decrease the source speed, distant points will accelerate the movement. The total duration is set in the duration numbox.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3 &#8211; Output mixer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"439\" height=\"397\" src=\"http:\/\/ness-apg.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Image26.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-306\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ness-apg.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Image26.png 439w, https:\/\/ness-apg.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Image26-300x271.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 439px) 100vw, 439px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The output mixer sends the signal to the 4 groups of speakers, the binaural engine and to the reverb engine. The spatialization of the sources is also controlled here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"inherit-container-width wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em><strong>Mute<\/strong> <\/em>: Cut the sound of the source on the bus. This cuts also the processing; you can consider muting unused busses to lower the CPU load<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Fader<\/strong> <\/em>: Controls the send gain to the busses<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Processing mode<\/strong> : Allows to spatialize the source on a given speaker group (\u00ab&nbsp;spatialized&nbsp;\u00bb) or to directly route the signal to each speaker of the group (\u00ab&nbsp;direct routing&nbsp;\u00bb)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Nota<\/em> : the gain computation of the source is by default independent for each group of speakers. It depends on the number of speakers in the group and the distance from the source to each speaker of the group. The groups are limited to 8 speakers, but you can link several groups to spatialize the source on bigger speaker arrays. See the design section for more information;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Gains and delay monitoring :<\/em><\/strong> visualization of the spatialization settings.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"inherit-container-width wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong><strong><em>Delays activation<\/em><\/strong><\/strong><em> <\/em>: The delays can be activated or not. For static sources, it is recommended to activate the delay to strengthen the spatialization effect. For sources which are subject to move, the delays will be interpolated, which can create a doppler effect.
